Online CBT for anxiety

Persistent worry, overthinking, catastrophising and a constant sense of unease can gradually make life smaller — narrowing what you feel able to do, say or try. If anxiety is behind avoidance, panic, or an exhausting need for reassurance and certainty, CBT can help you understand the pattern and respond to it differently.

What anxiety can look like

Persistent worry — a mind that jumps from one "what if" to the next

Overthinking and catastrophising — expecting the worst-case outcome by default

Panic — sudden, intense physical surges of fear, sometimes without an obvious trigger

Avoidance — steering around people, places or situations that feel risky

Reassurance-seeking — needing to hear "it'll be fine" again and again

Intolerance of uncertainty — needing to know for sure before you can relax

How CBT understands anxiety

Anxiety often survives through the very things we do to manage it — avoidance, reassurance, over-preparation and trying to remove uncertainty altogether. These strategies bring short-term relief, which is exactly why they keep the cycle going. We map out your individual version of this pattern together.

My approach

Once we understand what's maintaining your anxiety, we work collaboratively on practical ways of responding differently — building tolerance for uncertainty at a pace that feels manageable, rather than pushing you further than feels safe.

What working together looks like

Sessions are online, one to one, wherever you are in the UK. We start with a free 15-minute consultation to talk about what's going on and see whether working together feels right. From there, early sessions focus on understanding your anxiety in detail, before moving into practical, collaborative work — reviewing progress together as we go.
